Our Victory Goal was to raise the necessary $75,000 to complete the build-out of the unoccupied space at the Terrace Shoppes. Our Challenge Goal was to raise a total of $90,000 to finish the construction and purchase some needed furnishings like chairs for our Worship Center. Our Miracle Goal was to raise a total of $100,000 to do all of the build-out and minimal furnishings and to put up signs and do some necessary upgrades to the building.

On Sunday, December 14 we celebrated God’s goodness and announced the total offering in cash and commitments. What a spectacular display of God’s enormous goodness to us!

If you were not with us for Victory Sunday, I want to share the good news! Our young church raised $56,000 in our cash offering! That’s historic – for any church – and is a strong indication of God at work in the life of our small church! Add to that figure the funds we’ve been saving for the past 5 years ($20,000) and we have $76,000 – surpassing our Victory Goal!

But did we make our Challenge Goal of $90,000? How blessed we are to report, that we, indeed, reached that milestone! The cash offering and building fund plus commitments for the next 12 months allowed us to reach the $90,000 mark! But God did not stop there!

We were trusting Him with our income; we were trusting Him with our giving; we had given sacrificially, and God multiplied it. . . our commitments to give over the next 12 months were $31,000! Add all of our cash commitments and building fund together, and God took us over our Miracle Goal to reach a total of $107,000 in cash and commitments!

That’s cause for a tremendous celebration! We met and exceeded our Miracle Goal! That’s historic. That’s jaw-dropping. That’s awe-inspiring. That’s God at work! God did this. He used us – and we were blessed to be a part of Him building His Kingdom.

Years from now, we should all be able to say, “I remember when God was present in our midst, and did a tremendous thing I was able to see first-hand. He did a miracle in our lives. . . in my life!" A generation from now, our children and their children will be celebrating worship and embarking on missions from a base of operations that we only dream about today. And it was made possible by God leading us, and us following Him.

We came to the borders of our Kadesh Barnea – and we didn’t balk! We didn’t run scared of the giants in front of us. We didn’t beg to stay were we are or plead to go back where we used to be. We stepped forward, in answer to God’s call, and said “Where you want us to be – that is where we will go!” We stepped into a promised place, and God blessed our socks off.

Now – to work! Commitments need to come in. Walls need to be painted. Windows need to be washed. Furniture needs to be purchased. Walls need to be built. A community needs to be reached. A Gospel message needs to be preached. And we give HIM all the glory!
